Why We Built It
September 11, 2001 affected everyone in some way. This tribute was a collaboration of Virginia Task Force 2 members and the staff at Valhalla’s Forge, located in Virginia Beach. This piece is designed to be a lasting tribute to all those lost on September 11, 2001 and in the years since that tragic day. Additionally, this tribute recognizes the efforts of those that responded on 9/11 and the days and weeks that followed.
Virginia Task Force 2 will NEVER FORGET the sacrifices and heroic efforts made that fateful day.

About Valhalla’s Forge
Our primary purpose is to assist our nations active duty military and their families. We are engaged with a number of different foundations. To include: Task Force Dagger, The Navy SEAL Foundation, The Rosie Network and NSWKids. As a retired Navy SEAL, I know how important these groups are to those who go into harms way and especially for their families. The significant positive contribution they make can not be overstated.
Valhalla’s Forge LLC has been under development over the past 20 years. We are a veteran owned business. Fully understanding and being able to craft our customers vision has been our key to success. Our intent is to craft the finest products anywhere! As you review our site, you will quickly note our diversity and our capacity to utilize technology while paying respect to the artisans of old. Only the finest materials and techniques are used in our products.
The main features of the tribute are the scale replicas of the World Trade Center Towers and the blast resistant pane of Pentagon glass.

9/11 Tribute Rivets
Many of the rivets around the base of the tribute piece were installed by Task Force members that deployed on 9/11.
